PLC-XP30 Adds Direct Digital Connectivity
and Brightness to Family of Multimedia LCD Projectors
Unparalleled
Flexibility & Versatility Separates PLC-XP30 From
the Rest
LAS VEGAS, November 13, 2000, COMDEX, Booth #L5946 -
Sanyo Fisher Company's Presentation Technologies
Division, whose parent company is one of the world's
largest manufacturer of LCD projectors, today announced
the addition of the PLC-XP30 to its family of multimedia
LCD projectors. Combining flexible connectivity options
with brightness, this unit offers complete presentation
satisfaction.
Offered at $12,995 (MSRP),
the PLC-XP30 incorporates a 250-watt NSH lamp to produce
an impressive 3000 ANSI lumens. In addition, using the
power lens shift feature, the unit can be twin stacked,
resulting in a near doubling of the screen brightness
while aligning the images with virtually no geometric
distortion. Moreover, Sanyo's Polarized Beam Splitter
(PBS) Optical System further enhances the brightness
levels of the PLC-XP30 by effectively using all of the
light emitted by the projection lamp.
The projector also boasts an XGA native resolution of
1024 x 768, greater than 90 percent uniformity, and a
contrast ratio of 700:1, enables it to project detailed
images from 31 to 400 inches diagonally. In addition,
the PLC-XP30 offers improved connectivity with a Digital
Visual Interface (DVI). The DVI provides a direct
digital connection to a PC. Offering true plug-and-play
compatibility, DVI accepts both digital and analog
signals while eliminating noise, ghosting, and
complicated setup adjustments.
"With twin-stacking capability resulting in extreme
brightness levels and a DVI adding connectivity ease,
the PLC-XP30 is a solid performer in its class,"
said Robert Pearlman, marketing manager, Sanyo Computer
Peripheral Products. "This unit is feature-rich,
extremely versatile, and competitively priced. The
PLC-XP30 offers a comprehensive solution for a variety
applications."
The PLC-XP30 is equipped with a variety of advanced
digital features, including:
• |
|
Digital
Keystone Correction: With a touch of a button,
users can take advantage of Sanyo's digital
keystone correction feature, which compensates for
angled projector placement, correcting trapezoidal
images. |
• |
|
Digital
Signal Processing: Featuring pure digital
processing circuits, including digital gamma
correction, digital progressive scanning, and
automatic color correction, the PLC-XP30
reproduces vibrant images with accurate color and
precise details. |
• |
|
Digital
Progressive Scanning: Sanyo's ASIC Progressive
Scan circuit incorporates a proprietary algorithm
to double the vertical resolution of the picture,
resulting in near high definition image quality
from a standard signal. |
• |
|
Digital
Realized Interpolation Technology (DRIT): Sanyo's
revolutionary and proprietary technology, which
digitally reconstructs an image by either
compressing or expanding it to make it compatible
with the native resolution of the projector. |
Further increasing its versatility, the PLC-XP30 offers
a variety of video and PC inputs, including component
inputs supporting HDTV compatibility. In addition, two
optional lenses, a wide zoom and semi-long zoom, are
available. The PLC-XP30 is plug-and-play ready and
features digital zoom and panning, power zoom and focus,
user-friendly on-screen menus, and a laser pointer
remote control.
The projector is backed by a three-year parts and labor
warranty as well as a 90-day warranty on the lamp and is
available through Sanyo's national network of
professional audiovisual dealers.
